My last day in Austria (May 8, 2008) had arrived – or so I thought. Early in the morning I said a sad goodbye to my brother and sister-in-law and started my drive towards the City of Salzburg, from where I was going to fly to London. I drove on the highway through the high mountains of Upper Styria and exited at Liezen to link up with one of Austria’s most picturesque areas: the Salzkammergut, also known as the location for many of the scenes from the world famous movie “Sound of Music”. I drove past the imposing limestone mountain of Grimming through the village of Bad Aussee to one of Austria’s most well-known mountain villages: Hallstatt, settled since pre-historic times, is located on the shores of the lake of the same name and patched against steep mountains that are known for their salt deposits. Salt has been mined here since pre-historic times, and many civilizations have left their traces in this region. Images of Hallstatt are famous throughout the world. I stopped off in the picturesque village of St. Wolfgang, located on another one of the beautiful Alpine lakes that dot the region. Driving past another popular resort town called St. Gilgen I made my way towards Salzburg, Mozart’s birth town and one of Austria’s most famous tourist destinations. I had about 3 hours to explore Salzburg, so I took a walk in the old city centre and hiked up to the Mönchsberg which features the largest fortress castle in Central Europe, the imposing Castle of Hohensalzburg …

Hotel Hilton Sorrento Palace; sorrento hotels review. We usually love Hilton hotels worldwide, but seriously doubt how Hilton Sorrento palace in Italy ever became Hilton member. Look at the video and see how an upgraded room looks like and judge for yourself. This is a Hilton Sorrento palace review for October 2010. We booked Hilton Sorrento palace, Italy as our regular European hotels review. We thought it would be useful to show that one to other. Bad things about Hilton Sorrento palace The overall impression of the room looked like a budget hotel. Cheap and ordinary room ambiance Old flea market style chairs with covers on them to make them look nicer Small safe with a key in the fridge Thin walls enabling one to share his /hers life with other rooms Closed indoor pool Dirty walls Dirty balcony floor Unfriendly staff (excluding one or two receptionists) that serves you every day but keep ignoring you. Managers coming your way and ignoring you. Looks like a policy at the hotel. Good things about Hilton Sorrento palace: Breakfast was surprisingly rich The receptionist was nice The concierge (only one of them) was very helpful Reasonable price Free parking next to hotel Conclusion review of Hilton Sorrento palace Italy: If you are used to Hilton level worldwide, you should not expect much when booking the Hilton at Sorrento Italy. We can’t understand how this hotel with its facilities ever became a member of Hilton hotels, even if it is only a four star hotel. Our …

From the grease-smothered pits to the long anxious nights in lonely European hotels, from the tense camaraderie of teammates to the trembling suspense of photo finishes, THE LIMIT carries readers race by race to its riveting and startling climax—the final contest that would decide it all, one of the deadliest in Grand Prix history.

Article by Carolyn Clayton

London has bout six thousand licensed restaurants and three and a half thousand pubs. It is home to about twenty two percent of the total restaurants in the whole of Britain. The menu includes cuisines from seventy major countries. London also has about thirty six Michelin star rated restaurants. London is known for its pubs and night life. About five underground stations are named after pubs. These are Angel, Swiss Cottage, Royal Oak, Elephant & Castle, and Manor House.

The city has small food joints, takeaway joints, and also sophisticated restaurants. You name it and you have it. The cuisines available are exotic and range from African, Asian, to Japanese and Chinese. Veeraswamy, Moti Mahal and Amaya are the best places for Indian food. Amaya is famous for its Awadhi dishes. Italian food can be found at the L’Anima and Zucca. These serve Italian food at its best and in central London. The juicy, rosy grilled veal chop is a must have in Zucca. Its interesting that London also has eating options for the pure vegetarians. Something that is a little difficult to find in many other parts of the world. The restaurants specializing in vegetarian food are Rosa’s, Sagar and Rasa Samudra.

The best modern European restaurants in London are Arbustus and Launceston Place. The Apple tart at Launceston Place is simply delicious. If at Arbustus then ensure that you end your meal with divine île flottante (floating island). The food lovers can enjoy Britain’s original cuisines here. The Gherkin has a restaurant on the fortieth floor that gives a three sixty degree view of the city making it an amazing dining experience.

If you want to splurge then the places you should visit for dining are Momo, The Wolseley and the Vijante. The costs can go up to hundred pounds but it’s worth the experience. If you want an economic meal and yet want good food then the options are many, some of them are Beatroot, Banh Mi Bay, Rasa Sayang, etc.

Moving to the amazing night life in London, the city is known for its pubs. The ice bar is a frozen bar in London which is kept at a freezing temperature. Everything inside the bar is made of ice. The other popular pubs are Met Bar, The blue bar, The Rookery and Lady Ottoline. If in London do ensure that you visit these pubs and have a great time. Some pubs are open all night on weekends.

These are the various interesting facts bout dining in London. I have tried to mention most of the interesting options. I hope this article will help you plan your dining options during your stay in London. Hope you have a great time eating and partying in London.

The story of my journey to Cannes in France and back. This is the third part of the film with the journey from Piotrkow in central Poland to Olesnica which is to the west of Wroclaw. My channel on you tube : www.youtube.com is one of the most prolific from Poland, although unfortunately not the most visited. With almost one film per day, one may be forgiven for thinking I do nothing else but I do have a day job as well. I have produced more than 400 original films, most in English but also in Polish, French, Italian, Spanish and the occassional hint of German and Hebrew. My big interest in life is travel and history but I have also placed films on other subjects Please feel free to ask questions in the public area or to comment on things you disagree with. Sometimes there are mistakes because I speak without preparation. If I see the mistakes myself, I make this clear in the text. Please also leave a star rating! There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging — www.ceepackaging.com – the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focussing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers. Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine!
Translate 00:21 Gustav: Bill really messed up. Tom: In Paris? Oh, yeah! Bill: They told you about that? Those jerks! Tom: Bill totally screwed up! It was really embarrassing. Bill: Actually, our crew screwed things up. Tom: I was totally in the groove. In my element. We’re all feellng great. Then Bill sings too early, and we lose it. Bill: It wasn’t my fault. Tom: The rhythm was totally off! I could never do that. Bill: The in-ear-monitoring system gave out. I swear. They’re made to fit my ears, but they weren’t fitting right. – Oh! That’s dirty. Bill: I don’t want to. That hurts. – Really? I’ll be really careful. Bill: They got plugged, somehow. I couldn’t hear, so I had to take them out and Iet the water drain out. Then I put them back in, and I could hear again. Tom: And who said, “I’ll never mess up” ? It’s happened a few times on this tour. Even Bill messes up. Gustav: Like our crew says, “That’s rock and roll.” Bill: COLOGNE! Today is the last concert, in Cologne. In the Kölnarena. It’s our first time playing here. The big finale show. But it’ll be good. Tom: I’ve got a headache. Bill: Look, he’s wearing a skirt! Boys don’t wear skirts, right? Look, he’s got a skirt on. It’s a girI. Tom: That’s what you do so when you don’t have pants on, your —- is covered. Oh, God! Bill, make this nervousness go away.
